Charles Frazier

About

Charles Frazier, American novelist, was born in 1950 in Asheville, North Carolina. His first novel, Cold Mountain, traces the journey of Inman, a deserter from the Confederate Army near the end of the Civil War. The novel won the 1997 National Book Award and was adapted as a film by Anthony Minghella. His new novel, Thirteen Moons, will be published in October 2006.
