Donna Seaman, an associate editor at Booklist, has recently compiled Writers on the Air: Conversations about Books, a collection of her author interviews. She is editor of the anthology In Our Nature: Stories of Wildness and host of the radio program Open Books on WLUW in Chicago; she regularly contributes reviews and essays to the Chicago Tribune, TriQuarterly, Speakeasy, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and has written for American Writers and the Oxford Encyclopedia of American Literature. Seaman has received several Pushcart Prize Special Mentions, grants from the Illinois Arts Council, the James Friend Memorial Award for Literary Criticism, and the Writer Magazine Writers Who Make a Difference Award.
