John Daniel

John Daniel lives and writes in the Coast Range foothills west of Eugene, Oregon, and teaches regularly in writer-in-residence positions around the country. His most recent book is Rogue River Journal: A Winter Alone; others include Looking After: A Son’s Memoir, The Trail Home (essays), Common Ground (poems), and Winter Creek: One Writer’s Natural History. He has been the recipient of a Wallace Stegner Fellowship in Poetry at Stanford University, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and two Oregon Book Awards in Literary Nonfiction.
