John Keeble is the author of four novels, including Yellowﬁsh and Broken Ground, and a work of nonﬁction, Out of the Channel: The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill in Prince William Sound. A collection of stories, Nocturnal America, is forthcoming from the University of Nebraska Press. His works have appeared in such periodicals as Outside, the Village Voice, American Short Fiction, Zyzzyva, the Idaho Review, and Best American Short Stories. He has held a Guggenheim Fellowship and has been a longstanding member of the MFA faculty at Eastern Washington University, where he is now professor emeritus. He has also served as the Distinguished Visiting Chair in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama.
