Susan Brind Morrow, a 2006 Guggenheim Fellow, is the author of The Names of Things: A Passage in the Egyptian Desert and Wolves and Honey: A Hidden History of the Natural World. A naturalist, classicist, linguist, and poet, she is a lifelong resident of New York State.
